There is now a more robust and unrestricted way of assigning products and members (or anything else) to multiple categories. You can do this with the new "allow multiple selection" option within the field properties for "linked" field types. For example, if you have a database field called "categories" that is linked to another database table that contains the categories, you can set it to allow multiple selection. This means members and products can easily be assigned to as many categories as needed.
